This kit includes one square of fusible stabilizer.  
Using a stabilizer is not required when doing hand embroidery, but a stabilizer will firm the fabric and improve stitch quality. For best results, a stabilizer is recommended with this fabric. Fuse the stabilizer onto the fabric with an iron before you begin stitching.
