Sulky 12 Wt. Petites Cotton Thread is the handiest handwork thread because it is easier, faster, and more fun than floss! Since one strand of our 12 Wt. Petites Cotton Thread is equivalent to two strands of floss, the huge benefits to you are:

  1. No separating floss
  2. No tangling
  3. Cut to any length
  4. Tidy storage with no loss of color identity.

Sulky spools have a snap spool end.  Gently lift up the end with your thumb, release the thread, then snap it closed. To secure the thread when your sewing is completed, gently lift the end with your thumb, wind the thread into the gap, and snap it closed.

All Sulky Cottons are machine washable and dryable and can be dry-cleaned. For best results we recommend the additional following care to be taken:

Washing:
All stitched articles should be washed with mild laundering agents and warm water.
If washed by hand, AMPLE WATER should be used to allow the goods to move freely and rinse thoroughly.
Roll in a towel to remove excess moisture and then immediately lay flat to dry.
Sulky Cottons can be washed with heavy duty detergents.
Only Solid Color Cottons can be bleached with chlorine bleach or laundered with optical brighteners.
It is most important to thoroughly rinse the stitched item before wringing or dry spinning.
Decoratively stitched, embroidered, or quilted items should never be left lying in a damp or wet pile.
Both of the above apply particularly to the first washing.

Dry Cleaning or Stain Removal:
Professional dry cleaning is okay.

Ironing:
Iron on medium or cotton setting

Drying:
Tumble dry, normal to medium heat.
